Our Story
La Villa con Sabor de Hogar was born from the heart of a woman from Villa Guerrero, Jalisco, who carries with her a deep love for tradition, family, and hospitality: Astrid Muro.
A dentist by profession, she came to the United States seeking stability for her family. But during the pandemic, she realized she was spending long days away from home—working only to pay for childcare—and missing precious moments with her daughter.
So Astrid chose to rewrite her story.
She returned to what she always loved: cooking, hosting, caring for people, and creating beautiful, delicious food.
Since age 11, the kitchen has been her place of creativity and responsibility—cooking for her family while her mother worked. Hospitality runs through her upbringing; growing up in a charro family, she learned that good food and good hosting make every gathering unforgettable.
Today, Astrid pours that same love, elegance, and dedication into every box, every table, every detail.
